DIY Easter Decoration

Check out this punny, super simple, DIY Easter Sign! Perfect to add a little fun to your traditional holiday decor.

Materials/Tools Required:
• 18" Round Piece of Sanded Wood
• Butane Torch
• Spray Lacquer or Poly
• Acrylic Paint
• Small Paint Brush
• Pencil
• Additional decorating items of your choice (optional)
• Hot Glue (optional)

Instructions:
•Use your pencil and ruler to map out where you elements are going to go.
•Using your Large Text BurnStencil, create the words "Prepare to Dye" on your round by carefully burning it with your butane torch. You can hold down the stencil while burning with a screwdriver, to keep it in place.
•Using your Egg BurnStencil, add the eggs to your round by carefully burning it with your butane torch.
•Mix paint to your desired color and paint the inside of the eggs or any other area of the bare wood that you desire.
•Spray finish the round to protect the burned text from smearing, and let it dry overnight.
•Using a glue gun, glue some faux flowers, ribbon, or any other accessory you like to add a little accent to the sign itself.

Pro Tips for Success

• Torch in short bursts – Don’t hover too long or you’ll over-burn.

• Clamp it down – Hold your stencil firmly (or tape it) so it doesn’t shift mid-burn.

• Ventilation is your friend – This is fire, after all.

• Test first – Try it on scrap wood before committing to the “good board.”

• Add personality – Make it Funny or in our case "Punny". It’s Easter - have fun with it.
